SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY BENEFITS (SSD)

AND SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI)

If you are disabled, meaning that you have a physical or mental impairment that either results in death or that is expected to last for 12 months or more, and are unable to work, you may be entitled to either Social Security Disability Benefits or Supplemental Security Income.

Social Security Disability is available to those individuals that have a verifiable work history, and are disabled.

Supplemental Services Income is available to those who are disabled, and have a low income. No work history is required to collect Supplemental Security Income.

In order for a person to get either of these benefits they must file an application with the Social Security Administration, and most applications are denied. Oftentimes people who really deserve to be on either of these programs are denied benefits at this initial stage but are awarded these benefits following a successful appeal for these benefits.

This is why having an attorney represent you in trying to obtain these benefits is important even though it is not necessary. An attorney helps with the appeals process by preparing your case, and explaining to the Social Security Administration exactly why you are entitled to benefits under these programs. An attorney understands exactly what documents and records are needed to present your case, and how to present them to make a strong case.

Many people who file for these benefits are not aware of what is needed to file a successful claim for these benefits. Our law firm can present your claim to the Social Security Administration in a way that maximizes your chances of being awarded benefits by helping you gather everything that you need for a successful claim, and presenting your claim within the framework of the Social Security Administration rules and guidelines.

Our law firm handles these cases for ONLY A 25% CONTINGENCY FEE!  Call (702) 343-0494 for more information.
